GDC 2005: On San Francisco

I am archiving older pieces I have written on other sites, making this the definitive home for all my work. This is one of several I am porting over from my GameDev.Net user journal. Enjoy!

The city is beautiful. There's no other way to describe it. Art took me on a but of a tour on the way in, and it felt wonderful to actually see, smell, touch, stand on these socio-cultural monuments: The Golden Gate Bridge, The Bay Bridge... We passed pretty close to Alcatraz on the ferry in this morning (Art [the friend I was staying with on this visit—Ed.] lives across the Bay, in Sausalito). Over the course of the week and the conference, I'll be looking to provide that sort of bonus contextual coverage, so keep your eyes open - and check out my "tourist" pictures!
